Story Submission Guidelines

  • First hand stories are best.
  • Write about what you witnessed or experienced.
  • Be specific. Include the "where" and "when" of your story.
  • Try to include details. How did you feel? What did you see? Are there any smells or touches that help describe the event?
  • Don't know what to write about? Here are some ideas to get you started.

Suggestions for Hershey stories:

School day experiences: Favorite teachers and subjects, extracurricular activities such as music, sports, drama, etc...

Work experiences: First impressions from your first day of work. How did you learn the job? Memories of co-workers, bosses and special work events such as celebrations, training, etc...

Neighborhoods: Describe your neighborhood. Where did the kids play?
Special games and traditions, neighborhood parties.

Homelife: Childhood chores, family holiday traditions and family vacations

Church life: Traditions and special events

Sporting events: Being a participant or spectator

Hershey at play: Riding the roller coaster for the first time. Going on a date to Hersheypark, attending concerts, etc...
