The Hershey Story invites visitors to experience the many stories of Hershey in an educational, fun-filled and imaginative environment, focused on audience, active learning and engagement with and between objects and ideas.
The second floor will house more than 10,000 square feet of all-new exhibits that will encompass four interconnected Hershey stories:
- FOUNDER: The stories of Milton S. Hershey
- COMMUNITY: The stories of Hershey and its people
- PHILANTHROPY: The stories of the Hershey cultural and educational philanthropies
- VISIONARY: The stories of Milton Hershey's enduring legacies
The first floor of The Hershey Story also will contain a café, a museum store, the Chocolate Lab and a temporary exhibit gallery.
The café will specialize in chocolate beverages, desserts, sandwiches and salads and will feature a special area for chocolate tastings.
Inspired by Milton Hershey's talent for experimentation, the Chocolate Lab will offer a variety of experiences for all ages. Students and visitors can learn about the unique qualities of chocolate, as well as how chocolate is made.
