The Hershey Story offers a variety of activities for Scout groups! Our unique programs are designed to immerse Scouts in a variety of topics, while completing their badge requirements.

Scouting for History
Explore the Museum Experience with a scavenger hunt created especially for Scouts. Designed as an indoor walking tour of historical buildings, the hunt also stresses Milton Hershey’s example as an entrepreneur and philanthropist. “Scouting for History” is available to Scout groups or individuals at any time and is free with Museum Experience admission. Participation satisfies a requirement for each of following achievements:
• Cub Scout – Collecting Belt Loop, Bear Scout Achievement 8
• Brownie Scout – Celebrating Community and Computer Expert Badges
• Junior Girl Scout – aMUSE Award and Product Designer Badge
The Science of Chocolate
Chocolate Lab staff will help Scouts discover the chemistry behind their favorite chocolate bars. Scouts will learn the scientific method and why it is used, then create their own milk chocolate bars to take home. Pre-registration is required for this special Lab class. It is offered to Scout groups of 10 or more on weekday afternoons and satisfies a requirement for each of the following achievements. This special Lab satisfies a requirement for the Cub Scout Science Belt Loop.
